Two years and sixteen million dollars have been agreed upon for Derrick Henry’s contract with the Baltimore Ravens, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Tuesday. Per Rapoport, Henry’s contract is valued at a maximum of $20 million and includes a $9 million guarantee.
Henry, age 30, leaves Tennessee after an eight-season tenure and appears to be an ideal addition to the Ravens, providing a battering ram to supplement quarterback Lamar Jackson’s game-breaking speed and elusiveness.
From 2016 to 2023, Henry was a two-time rushing champion and four-time Pro Bowler for the Tennessee Titans. One of his notable accomplishments during the 2019 postseason was a 195-yard tour de force against the Ravens, which helped the Titans defeat the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Divisional Round.
Now, Henry joins the defending AFC North champions in an effort to advance their Super Bowl aspirations further, following their loss to the eventual champion Kansas City Chiefs in last season’s AFC Championship Game.
